This time is about uncovering secrets of a beautiful range called: Nknaturals.

Nknaturals is a beautiful range of handmade products by the lovely Nicola Kidd, who is living on the ‘Island of Eternal Spring’, Lanzarote.
Nicola has started making her own gentle, reliable and effective products using simple ingredients, carefully selected to compliment each other’s properties.
All of the products are free from alcohol, preservatives, parabenes, colouring and synthetic perfumes. Apart from that, none of the products are tested on animals and all of the raw ingredients for example: raw organic beeswax, fair-trade raw organic shea butter are supplied by small family run business.

Another day and another lovely brand discovered just around the corner, literally at the local Sainsbury’s. Meet Happy Naturals, a brand, which believes in keeping things natural and has got two lovely ranges for bath and body: Argan Oil and Sea Minerals as well as a fantastic range of many different shampoos and conditioners for hair. The one I adore at the moment is a deeply hydrating Macadamia Oil Shampoo (please check my hair products for more information). All of the products are not tested on animals and free from parabens, sulphates and mineral oils.

The other fantastic vitamin for the skin is Vitamin A, which is a group of compounds that includes Retinol, Retinal and Retinoic Acid - important for cell production and growth. Vitamin A helps to keep skin firm and healthy by stimulating and thickening the deep layer of the skin called dermis where collagen, elastin and blood vessels are. It helps to reduce wrinkles by slowing down breakdown of our collagen and elastin. As well it gently exfoliates the skin, smoothing it out; increases blood flow to the skin, which means more oxygen is going to our cells to help with cell renewal; and one of the most important benefits for me is that Vitamin A decreases production of sebum and helps to treat acne.

My skin just loves exfoliation… The reason why is that, is because, it helps to bring healthy glow to the skin, removing dead skin cells. As well it helps to smooth the skin. Exfoliation can be achieved through mechanical or chemical process. Today we will talk about mechanical.
One of my favourite exfoliators for face is Germaine De Capuccini Exfoliating Scrub. This product has got a really intense menthol formula and when removing dead skin cells it gives you an invigorating experience. I exfoliate my skin on my face at least once/twice a week in the evening (usually on Saturday). First I wash my face, then tone and afterwards exfoliate starting with décolleté, neck and then face where I stretch my ‘smiling lines’ around my lips, eyes and ‘worrying lines’ on my forehead… If your skin is really dry or sensitive, you might be better off to apply this exfoliator as a mask, leaving on for about 10-15min. Afterwards I rinse it off, dry out my skin and tone.

Gotta love Murad products… This is another one of my favourite brands. What is so special about Murad brand is what they believe in, that the wellbeing of our skin depends on how we feel inside and outside. This belief is very close to my opinion, that the body, mind and soul needs to be balanced because to look great we have to feel great about ourselves, we have to eat well, love and enjoy our life.
Dr Murad from the beginning wanted to help people to look and feel younger as well as healthier. Murad products were one of the first ones to achieve significant anti-ageing results without surgery due to pioneering use of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA formulations) in their skincare.

On the market there are so many skincare products that I’ve decided to have a look at the ones, which aim especially at the vitamins the skin loves and needs.

As well I wanted to try different brands for different purposes. The reason why, is because our skin as a biggest organ needs different ‘foods’/nutrients to work its best. That is why, in my opinion it’s important to change products every now and then or use different brands and ranges. If you stick to one product, your skin after a while will stop reacting to it and won’t be doing anything to you.

We all want a beautiful, healthy and glowing skin… And when we are thinking about putting an oil on the skin, the first thing which comes to our minds is that it's going to be greasy, sticky or that we will get breakouts. Fortunately for us there is a fantastic Spanish brand called Germaine de Capuccini (GDC) who has been on the market for almost 50 years. Germaine de Capuccini does not test their products on animals, it's paraben and microbead free and has got CO2 Zero Certificate, which means it's environmental friendly.
Let’s have a look and try something for face and something for body.
